Turn the screws clockwise to adjust the headlight inwards and counterclockwise to adjust them outwards. The headlight beam should fall just to the right of the center tapeline. Next, block out the adjusted headlight and do the same vertical and horizontal adjustment on the other headlight. Fine-tune the adjustments.
I am not much of a car guy so I apologize if I sound like I don't know what I'm talking about; it's because I really don't. My girlfriend's Focus' headlights have stopped working as well as the high beams. She had them both replaced about 2 months ago and they have worked fine since then. Now they randomly go out, mostly staying out all the
The company first pioneered using road signs and lane markings as cues to adjust headlight beams to better illuminate the road ahead, especially around junctions. Now, engineers from Ford Research and Advanced Engineering Europe are testing technology that uses real-time location data to effectively show the car the way to go.
Step 5. Use a Torx tool head or an Allen wrench to turn the screws. Keep an eye on the marks and adjust until the trajectory hits the mark. You want the low beam to be within a 2-inch variance and the high beam to center on the mark. Adjust each headlight individually. Ford recommends you take your Ford Focus to an authorized service station
This is why you get the fault and the power is cut. Your low beams just shut off. The fix is to buy an ELM 327 and then use FoCCCus (what I used) or ForScan. You change the headlight setting to HID alternative and you change the low beam fault to off. The fault will still come on but the lights will work.

Therefore in uk, LH Traffic means vehs that drive on left. How it is worded in the handbook is also causing confusion/argument on other Ford Forums. I am sure there is a good explanation in that dam
I recently purchased a 2012 Fusion SEL and found that the passenger side headlight assembly had been replaced. It is out of adjustment and the aim adjusting screw odes not work. My question: is the aim adjusting screw integrated into the headlight assembly and will I have to replace the entire assembly in order to be able to adjust it? Colen Thomas
Using this app, I reset the FLCM (Front Light Control Module), and the BCM (Body Control Module). Once reset, I ran "tests" which FORscan does, similar to the Ford Service software at dealerships, and performs a number of lighting and software tests - it revealed no issues and turned the headlight back on.
24 August 2018. Iain Kelly. Ford's Focus uses a Halogen H7 bulb in its low-beam socket. Open the bonnet and remove the two Torx screws holding the headlight in place, then lift the headlight forward and out of the car. Unplug the wiring connector on the back, then remove the rubber boot weather seal on the back of the headlight.
