My car had a PUMA software upgrade that BMW suggested to the dealer would fix the problem. Well, 10 days later the iDrive screen goes out again! I still don't have the audio levels for the Aux input corrected either. I was promised the Dealer would start a PUMA case but I haven't heard anything.

In the middle of the drive to work the iDrive just blinked out. No radio, no bluetooth, nothing. Screen went black. It came back on a few times during the day, but now it seems good and dead.
. CD players just get old. I took mine out of the car and cranked the diode power up. It works better now but I still usually have to pop the cd in and out to get it to read. There's a trim pot by the diode that you can give a quarter turn or so to up diode power at the cost of life.
